The ninth mixtape by Porco Rosso in a set inspired by the storytelling of HNNY's "Music For Listening" series. This tape is a throwback to my childhood in the early 2000s, where I spent summers listening to Latin House classics, and the hugely influential Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi series of compilations. Mixed in a style closer to that of a live DJ set, it is an ode to hot summers on the beach, Cuba Libres and Mojitos under the sun. If your summer has largely gone to waste, such as mine, I hope it can bring a little a "luz del sol" to your day.
